At only 31 years of age – a young man, father, a husband, a voice, and proud founder and president of Turning Point USA – Charlie Kirk was tragically shot. Charlie supported a generation of young conservatives on his shoulders, giving voices to millions. We grieve for his family, his friends, and the millions who looked to him for courage.

This moment is, in a way, the new Pearl Harbour. In 1940, although not attributed directly to Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, his sentiment is similar to the often misquoted line: “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.”

And so, it is now. Like Yamamoto's reflection, what was meant to weaken may instead awaken. Out of sorrow may rise a deeper resolve: to stand – with courage and strength – and to carry forward what Kirk began.

In this time of grief, our prayers are with his wife, his family, his friends, and all who mourn his passing. We commend his soul to the mercy of God, and we ask for comfort, strength, and hope for those who feel this loss most deeply.

The Irony Of The Left

The irony is glaring. For years, we have heard about “tolerance” and “inclusion.” Yet increasingly, the reality is this: if you disagree, you are shunned. If you speak the truth, you are cancelled – and if you dare question the decadent ideology of the left, you face ostracism and castigation.

We now live in a culture where fundamental disagreement is no longer met with dialogue, but with hostility. Too often, those who dissent from prevailing ideologies are not merely debated, but silenced, maligned, and repudiated. Charlie Kirk stood resolutely against this tide, bearing witness to the enduring value of truth, tradition, and faith. In his courage, he reminded a generation that conviction is worth the cost, and that to stand firm in the face of opposition is itself a noble calling.

Death is not the end. As a newsletter run by Christians, we believe in eternal life and in the victory of Christ over sin and death. Charlie’s voice has left a significant mark in our world, but his mission has not ended. We please ask all of our readers to pray for the Kirk family. Thank you.

May the Lord comfort his wife and children, and may his memory endure as an attestation to the enduring gift of freedom of speech.
