What is The Canadian Loyalist?
The Canadian Loyalist is an independent, youth-run, conservative Canadian publication covering politics, sports, culture, and national affairs. Our focus is on clear, fact-based reporting and commentary from a Canadian perspective.
Where are you based?
We are based in Canada, with contributors and readers from across the country.
Who runs The Canadian Loyalist?
The publication is run by a small team of Canadian students and young adults who manage writing, editing, and publishing. Their identities remain anonymous to protect their academic reputations, as holding conservative views within Canadian academia carries a strong negative stigma.
What do you believe?
We support a set of principles centered on Canadian sovereignty, institutional strength, and fiscal responsibility. This includes limited and efficient government, lower taxation where possible, and policies that prioritize Canadian citizens and national interests. We also support a strong national defence and a well-funded military capable of protecting Canadian sovereignty and meeting modern security challenges. On social and cultural matters, we adhere to a traditional understanding of sex and biology: where men are men and women are women. We believe in the importance of Judeo-Christian values in the creation of Canada, both as a nation, historically, and fundamentally when viewing our nations traditions and laws.
Do you only cover politics?
No. We are a sports-and-politics publication. We also cover Canadian sports culture, including hockey, soccer, Canadian (and American) football, basketball, baseball, and major national sporting events such as the World Cup, Olympics, Super Bowl, and motorsports events (i.e. NASCAR and Formula One).
Is your content opinion or reporting?
We publish a mix of analysis, commentary, and reporting. Where possible, we aim to ground our writing in facts, data, and historical context.
Is The Canadian Loyalist free?
Yes. Our content is currently free to access and subscribe to.
Are you affiliated to any political party?
No. We are independent and not affiliated with any political party or organization.
Do you gather or share subscriber information?
No. We do not sell or share subscriber data with third parties. All subscriber information is kept between The Canadian Loyalist and our platform host, Beehiiv.
